LEXINGTON, Ky. - Guilford College volleyball was recognized by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) with the 2026 Team Academic Award, honoring programs that excel in the classroom during the 2025-26 academic year.
The AVCA Team Academic Award recognizes collegiate and high school volleyball programs that maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale throughout the academic year. The honor marks the seventh time in the past eight years that the Quakers have earned AVCA recognition.
Guilford was among more than 1,400 collegiate and high school volleyball programs across the country to receive the distinction this year, reflecting the Quakers' dedication to excellence both on the court and in the classroom.Â
The Quakers' academic success extended beyond national recognition, as Guilford volleyball finished the academic year with the third-highest team GPA among all Guilford athletics programs with a 3.78.
