Jack Jensen Golf Center

The Jack Jensen Golf Center is the on-campus home of the three-time overall, and two-time NCAA National Champion Guilford College Men’s Golf team after being built in 2012.

The building serves as an all-around team clubhouse and training facility for the Quakers featuring a lounge, locker room for up-to a dozen student-athletes, and a club repair room, in addition to a putting green and indoor-to-outdoor hitting bays for skills development. The entire surface of the main space serves as a putting green on which members of the golf team can practice their short-game with up-to 50-foot putts. For longer swings, the student-athletes can utilize the pair of indoor heated hitting bays with garage door openings to the 130-yard wedge range, and built-in video infrastructure for swing analysis. Additionally, the building has a mirrored wall for personal swing visualization, an outdoor green for chipping and putting, and other training aids.

Located behind McBane Field and the Ragan-Brown Field House, the facility was dedicated to the late, great former men’s basketball and men’s golf coach of the Quakers, Jack Jensen in September of 2014. The building’s lounge displays the All-American and Academic All-American plaques that the program has accumulated, in addition to the National Championship trophies the program has secured, serving as a visual link to the program’s rich history that Jensen played such a role in cultivating.
