The Quakers traveled up to Hampden-Sydney, Virginia for a dual meet showdown versus William Peace and St. Mary's (MD) at Leggett Pool. Overall, Guilford lost both meets. Â
Josephine Hemmer finished 3rd in the 800 free, with a time of 12:53:07. Hemmer put up the best result of the day for Guilford in the 100 breaststroke, with a time of 1:55:87.
Also in the 800 free, Bec Cormack finished 4th, with a time of 14:34:37. Kiersten Walker battled opposing swimmers in the 200 freestyle, finishing 4th with a time 3:22:31.Â
In the 50 freestyle,
Knox Butka &
Hannah Lambeth finished 7th and 8th, respectively. Butka's final time was 44.60, while Lambeth's was 48.49.Â
Ashley Linden competed in the 100 freestyle and finished a respective 6th, with a time of 1:21:28.Â
