The Guilford College women's swimming team made the short trek to Greensboro College for a tri-meet against the Pride and the Salem College Spirits. The Quakers fell to the Pride, 120-76, but bested the Spirits, 109-80.

Corbin Jacocks led the way for Guilford with two first place finishes in the 100 Fly (1:07.74) and the 200 Free (2:13.18). Jacocks also placed second in the 200 IM with a time of 2:38.00.

Josephine Hemmer had two second-place finishes in the 500 Free and the 1650 Free with times of 8:47.71 and 25:40.74, respectively. Allie Rodriguez placed second in the 100 Back (1:26.19) and the 200 Back (3:10.86).

Hannah Lambeth competed in the 100 Breast, 200 Breast and the 50 Free. In the three events, Lambeth finished fourth (2:05.37), third (4:37.15) and fifth (44.94), respectively.

In the 100 Free, Kiersten Walker touched the wall in 1:25.00 (third) while Knox Butka finished the race in 1:37.13 (fourth). Walker also competed in the 200 Fly, placing second with a time of 3:45.75. Butka's other individual result was in the 50 Free, stopping the clock at 41.55, placing fourth.

The 400 Medley Relay saw the quartet of Butka, Lambeth, Rodriguez and Walker swim the race in 5:49.18. The final race of the evening was the 200 Free Relay as the team of Hemmer, Jacocks, Rodriguez and Walker finished first with a time of 2:12.33.

Guilford hits the road to Hollins University on Saturday, October 28 to face the host institution along with Sweet Briar College. Start time is set for 1:00 p.m.
