The Guilford College men's golf team took part in the Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational in Georgia. The Quakers finished 12th after the three round event.
Leading the way for Guilford was
Sam Davidson as he shot a three-day total of 214 (72-71-71) and finished tied for 20.
Evan Mendyk was two shots off his teammate (216) after posting three rounds of 72.
James Alden and
Landon Barnes finished tied for 63 with totals of 222.
Michael Vick rounded out the five, carding rounds of 72, 73 and 80 for a total of 225.
Christopher Newport's Alex Price was the low medalist with a total of 205 (68-68-69). Sewanee won the team portion of the tournament with a score of 851.
Guilford will travel to Montgomery, Alabama on Monday, March 28 for the Wynlakes Invitational hosted by Huntingdon College.
