GREENSBORO, NC -- The Guilford College golf team kicked off its fall slate with the three-day NCAA DIII Fall Preview which concluded on Tuesday.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Quakers finished the tournament in 22nd, finishing 80-over as a squad.

Freshman Michael Vick led the team in his first collegiate contest as he posted a three-day total of 223 to finish tied for 43rd place.

On a par-72 , Vick shot 70 in the first round, 75 in the second and 78 in the third.

Landon Barnes finished in a tie for 94th with a three-day total of 233. Barnes shot 75, 80 and 78 over the three rounds, respectively.

Jake Girourd rounded out Guilford's finishers within the top-100, placing 97th. Girourd shot 77, 80, 77 to finish just one stroke off of Barnes' pace (234).

Sam Davidson and Evan Mendyk placed 110th and 111th, with scores of 237 and 238, respectively.
NEXT TIME
Guilford will have some time off before its next scheduled appearance on Oct. 11th, as it will travel to Ligonier, Pa. to take part in the two-day Tartan Invitational.
