GREENSBORO, N.C. -- The nationally-ranked Guilford College golf team rebounded on the second day of its annual O'Briant Jensen Memorial to place ninth in a field off 22 on Tuesday afternoon.

Sam Davidson shaved nine strokes off his game to move up 49 places in the competition, finishing tied for 18th. Davidson was one-over on the day, shooting 72 for a two round total score of 153.

Playing as an individual, Parker Cumbea closed out the tournament tied for 31st. Cumbea shot a 79 in the second round, finishing with a score of 156 (+14) through both rounds.

Up 31 spots, Michael Vick tied for 43rd. The freshman dropped six strokes of his round one score for a score of 76 (+5). Vick had a total score of 158.

Teammate James Alden was involved in the tie for 43rd with Vick, as he shot an 82 in the second round.

Jake Girouard shot an 85 in the second round to finish in a tie for 67th.

Rounding out the Guilford squad was Landon Barnes in his tie for 71st. Barnes bettered his game by two as posted a second round score of 81.
