GREENSBORO, N.C. -- The nationally-ranked Guilford College golf team currently sits in 13th after the first round of its annual O'Briant Jensen Memorial Tournament, which kicked off on Monday morning.

The fifth-slotted James Alden led his team through the first round of the tournament, finding himself in a six-way tie for 31st. Alden posted a score of 76 in the opening round, just five over par.

One stroke off the pace, Parker Cumbea who is golfing as an individual sits in a tie for 37th with his 18-hole total of 77 (+6).

Add another stroke and you will find Jake Girouard in an 8-way tie for 43rd. Girouard is 7-over for a first day total of 78.

Sam Davidson is tied for 67th with his score of 81 (+10).

Freshman Michael Vick sits in a 10-way tie for 74th with his first round mark of 82 (+11).

Rounding out the Quaker squad is Landon Barnes who is currently tied for 84th with a score of 83 (+12).
