LIGONIER, Pa. -- The nationally-ranked Guilford College golf team rounded out the Tartan Invitational hosted by Carnegie Mellon University in 11th place. Guilford is currently ranked 18th by the Bushnell/Golf Week DIII Coaches Poll.

Freshman Michael Vick rebounded from his 41st round place on Day 1, finishing tied for 28th. Vick compiled a three round total of 236, shooting 20 over (74, 86, 76).

Classmates Landon Barnes and James Alden finished tied for 38th. Barnes shot an 81 on the final day (80, 79, 81), while Alden shot an 85 (80, 75, 85). They finished 24-over.

Fellow sophomore Sam Davidson tied for 46th after compiling a three-round score of 242, plus-26. Davidson posted scores of 83, 78 and 81.

Jake Girouard rounded out the Quaker squad tied for 49th, just one stroke off Division with a score of 23. Girouard shot 83, 78 and 82.

Guilford will remain on the road as it travels to Miramar Beach, Fla. for the Golfweek D3 Invitational taking place at the Raven Golf Club Oct. 17-19.
