CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Guilford College volleyball team traveled to Charlotte to take on Johnson & Wales University (2-9, 0-0 Coast to Coast) and Regent University (6-2, 0-0 Coast to Coast), falling to both teams, 3-2 and 3-1, respectively.

In the second match of the season against JWU, the Quakers put up a fight in set one, falling by only four point. Guilford took the second two sets of the match, trading points back and forth but ultimately coming away taking a 2-1 lead through three sets. The Quakers kept it close, but fell in the fourth set, and got dominated in the fifth set, dropping game one on the day.

Just after, GC took on the Royals of Regent University. The Quakers fell in the first and second sets, before fighting in the third, dominating 25-10 to force a fourth set. Despite trading points back and forth with Regent, the Royals ultimately pulled away, taking the set 25-22 for the win.

The Quakers are back at Ragan-Brown FieldHouse on Tuesday, September 22 at 6:00 PM when they take on Salem College.
