FOREST, Va. – The Guilford College track & field team concluded its 2026 campaign on Saturday, punctuated by a historic performance in the relay events and individual personal bests during the final day of the ODAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships, hosted by Eastern Mennonite University.
The Quaker men's 4x100-meter relay team provided the highlight of the day, shattering the program record. The squad, composed of
Cedric Blowe (Indian Trail, N.C.),
Jaden Jones (Rocky Mount, N.C.),
Tkwon Davis (Warren County, N.C.), and
KJ Allen (Boonsville, N.C.), clocked a record-breaking time of 42.53 seconds to earn a sixth-place finish overall.
The momentum continued in the 4x400-meter relay, where the team of Jones, Davis,
Trenten Torain (Durham, N.C.), and
Yassine Aallam (Holly Springs, N.C.) delivered a season-best performance. The group crossed the finish line in 3:30.29 to secure seventh place.
In the men's 200-meter finals, Jones capped off his impressive weekend by sprinting to a fifth-place finish. Jones notched a new personal best in the event, stopping the clock at 22.08 seconds.
On the women's side,
Piper Campbell (Wilmington, N.C.) turned in a gritty performance in the 5,000-meter run. Campbell navigated the distance in 20:39.19, setting a new personal best to close out her season.
The Quakers also found success in the field events, led by
Kayden Gaddist (Summerville, S.C.) in the men's javelin. Gaddist unleashed a throw of 46.77 meters, a mark strong enough to earn him a fifth-place finish in the conference.
The championship meet concludes a successful outdoor season for Guilford. With a program record broken and multiple athletes placing in the top five of their respective events, the Quakers now turn their focus to the future, looking to build upon this year's foundation for the 2027 season.
