HICKORY, N.C. – The Guilford College track & field team concluded a premier outing against numerous NCAA and NAIA opponents at the Southside Power & Fitness Invitational, hosted by Lenoir-Rhyne University, on Friday through Saturday afternoon.

Bess Parnell (Cairo, Egypt) led all female placements, snatching two personal bests in her track and field events. Parnell stuck a superb landing in the Women's Long Jump, recording 4.65m for 18th position overall. Parnell added to her strong display in her track event, logging 1:19.37 in the Women's 400M Hurdles, marking out in 15th overall.
Piper Campbell (Wilmington, N.C.) followed suit with a PR of her own in the Women's 3000M, finishing at a time of 12:04.41, placing in sixth, respectively.

On the men's side,
Jeremy Harway (Apex, N.C.) cruised in his lone track event, recording a PR time of 11:14.37, ranking out in seventh on the leaderboard.
Cedric Blowe (Indian Trail, N.C.) recorded the second PR of the day for Guilford in the long jump, controlling his footing to mark 6.57m on the measurement for seventh place in his field event.
Jaden Jones (Rocky Mount, N.C.) and
Tkwon Davis (Warren County, N.C.) each notched PRs in the Men's 400M, with Jones recording 50.24 and Davis logging 50.39, placing in 11th and 14th, respectively.
Jaylen Abernathy (Iron Station, N.C.) continued the Quakers personal bests in the Men's Shot Put, marking a distance of 9.80m for 29th position.
Kayden Gaddist (Summerville, N.C.) rounded out Guilford's stellar showings in the Men's Javelin Throw with a top-10 finish, launching a distance of 43.59m, marking out in sixth.

Guilford will compete in their final regular-season meet at the Aggie Invitational, hosted by North Carolina A&T State University, on Friday, April 17th, through Saturday, April 18th, with the official start time to be announced.
