FOREST, Va. – The Guilford College track & field team wrapped up competition Sunday afternoon at the ODAC Indoor Track & Field Championships, hosted by Roanoke College, capping the weekend with personal bests and a scoring relay performance.
Tkwon Davis (Warren County, N.C.) highlighted the day in the men's 400 meters, finishing 14th with a personal-best time of 52.55 seconds.
Jaden Jones (Rocky Mount, N.C.) followed with a 53.67, while
Yassine Aallam (Holly Springs, N.C.) crossed in 54.46 to round out Guilford's efforts in the event.
On the women's side,
Bess Parnell (Cairo, Egypt) clocked an impressive time of 1:08.55 in the 400 meters.
In the men's 200 meters,
Cedric Blowe (Indian Trail, N.C.) led the Quakers with a 13th-place finish in 23.36 seconds. Jones was close behind in 14th at 23.66.
Trenten Torain (Durham, N.C.) posted a time of 24.71, and
KJ Allen (Boonsville, N.C.) recorded a 24.92 to complete Guilford's showing in the event.
Alyssa Daniel (Spring Lake, N.C.) represented the Quakers in the women's 200 meters, finishing in 28.43 seconds.
The men's 4x400-meter relay team of Jones, Davis, Torain, and Allam delivered a momentum-building performance to close the meet, earning a point for Guilford with an eighth-place finish in 3:33.88.
With the indoor season complete, the Quakers turn their focus toward the upcoming outdoor campaign, which opens at the Livingstone Blue Bear Invitational on Saturday, March 28th.
