INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – James Alden (East Northport, N.Y.) has been selected to represent the Guilford College golf team as an individual participant to compete at the 2024 NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championship on May 14-17 at Boulder Creek Golf Club, in Boulder City, Nevada, as announced by the NCAA today.
 
While the Quakers as a team did not make the cut as one of the two Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) squads to receive an invite, the ODAC individual champion, Alden, did snare one of the six coveted individual invitations.
 
Alden had a spring to remember, becoming the 16^th Quaker all-time to finish as the individual champion at the ODAC Championship Meet, and second in-a-row. It was one of four top-10 placings, and two within the top-five that he accumulated this season, with an average score of 74.1, and +3 to par average, as an All-ODAC First Team performer.
