Box Score

LEXINGTON, Va. – Jack Switala scored three goals and an assist in Washington and Lee University's 11-1 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) lacrosse victory over visiting Guilford College (6-3, 1-1 ODAC) Wednesday.

Nine different Generals (5-4, 2-0 ODAC) found the back of the net in a game delayed for an hour by lightning at the end of the first quarter. The hosts scored the tilt's first 10 tallies before Guilford's Chris Sisk scored a man-up goal with just under seven minutes remaining. Washington and Lee's Spence Daw, Drew Koeneman, Scott Meehan and Joe Wood each tallied one goal and one assist.

Washington and Lee controlled play throughout and enjoyed a 47-16 edge in shots. The Generals won 11 of 16 face-offs and forced 19 of the Quakers' 28 turnovers. Rob Look won nine of his 10 draws and picked up a game-high five ground balls. Austin Wernecke had four pickups and was one of three Generals with three caused turnovers. Ned Lundwall played just under 56 minutes in goal and made all four of his team's saves.

Guilford goalie Mark Guillen had 14 stops, six ground balls and three caused turnovers, all game-high totals.

The Quakers return to action Saturday with a 1:00 p.m. home contest against ODAC-rival Virginia Wesleyan College in the Armfield Athletic Center.
