Box Score GREENSBORO, N.C. (12/5/09) -- Ann Seufer and Lauren LeFevers both scored 13 points to lead Guilford College to a 55-48 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) basketball win over visiting Lynchburg College Saturday. Jazlyn Gibbs added 11 points for the Quakers, who move to 4-3 overall (2-2 ODAC).
Tamara Snead's game-high 18 points and 19 rebounds paced the Hornets (2-5, 1-3 ODAC).
Seufer added six rebounds and a game- and career-high six steals to a Quakers' defensive effort that generated 17 steals and forced 29 Lynchburg turnovers.
Gibbs scored nine of her points in the opening half, which helped Guilford open a 23-15 halftime lead. The margin grew to as many as 10 points in the second half before the Hornets trimmed the deficit to 49-46 on Carly Greenlief's follow basket with 3:01 left in regulation. The Quakers iced the win by scoring six of the game's final eight points.
Danielle Moorad and Courtney Brewer both scored 10 points for Lynchburg.
Guilford returns to action Wednesday (12/9) against visiting Peace College at 7:00 p.m. in a nonconference game.
