Box Score

Lynchburg, Va. (1/20/08) – Dana Esposito scored a game-high 20 points as Lynchburg College posted a 72-62 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) women's basketball win over visiting Guilford College Saturday. The Hornets completed a sweep of the season series with Guilford and move to 9-6 (6-4 ODAC) on the year. The Quakers fall to 10-6 (5-6 ODAC) with their fourth loss in five games.

Esposito led the five Hornets's starters in double-figure scoring. She had 14 second-half by making all six of her field goals, including two three-pointers. Esposito missed only one first-half three-pointer among her nine total shots.  Her hot shooting helped the hosts shoot 61.9 percent from the floor in the second half, thwarting the chance of Guilford overcoming a 33-26 halftime deficit. The Quakers pulled to within six points three times in the second half, but no closer.

Brittany Dahn scored 13 points and grabbed a game-high 17 rebounds for Lynchburg. Teammate Chevonne Booker added 13 points and dished out four assists. Kristina Darby and Kylie Lucas scored 12 points apiece as the Hornets' starters accounted for 70 of the team's points.
