Box Score Greensboro, N.C. (1/15/08) -- Lynchburg College's Brittany Dahn scored 18 points and grabbed a game-high 18 rebounds to lead the Hornets past host Guilford College, 65-57, in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) women's basketball game Tuesday night.
The Hornets (7-4, 4-2 ODAC) overcame a four-point halftime deficit and outscored the Quakers (9-3, 5-3 ODAC), 40-28, in the second half. Two free throws by Denae Caudle at 3:59 in the second half gave Guilford its final lead, 55-54. Dahn scored six consecutive points for the visitors to spark Lynchburg's 11-2 run to end the game. The Hornets shot 41.0 percent from the floor in the game, while the Quakers shot 29.2 percent.
Kristina Darby also notched a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds for the Hornets, who had four different students score in double digits. Lynchburg enjoyed a 53-43 rebounding advantage and outscored Guilford, 32-10, in the paint.
Guilford's Tracey Croner led all scorers with a game-best 23 points. Alexa Williams paced the Quakers with 10 rebounds.
