Box Score Greensboro, N.C. (11/30/07) - Sophomore forward Alexa Williams scored 14 points and added nine rebounds in Guilford College's 76-46 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) basketball win over visiting Hollins University Friday night. The Quakers (4-1, 1-1 ODAC) improved their lead in the season series with Hollins (0-4, 0-1 ODAC) to 34-2.
Guilford recorded 23 steals, the third-highest total in school history, and forced 35 Hollins turnovers that led to 26 Quakers' points. Sophomore guard Ann Seufer made six steals and junior forward Shevon Hackett had four takeaways, both career highs.
Junior forward Tracey Croner made all six shots from the floor en route to 13 points. Hackett converted all five field-goal attempts for 10 points and also added five rebounds. Both teams substituted liberally with Guilford's bench outscoring its counterparts, 37-8.
Freshman guard Tamara Phillips led Hollins with 16 points and six assists. Freshman Krista Wolfe added 10 points and four assists.
The Quakers host Randolph College Saturday (12/01) at 4:00 p.m. in an ODAC contest. Hollins visits league-rival Emory & Henry College Saturday (12/01) at 3:00 p.m.
