Greensboro, NC (4/27/05) -- Eddie Massello scored with 18 seconds left in the fourth quarter to lift visiting Guilford College to a 7-6 win over Greensboro College (8-6) at Pride Field on Wednesday. Massello, a senior midfielder, had two scores in the game.

For the Quakers (5-8), it was their first win over its cross-town rivals since April 23, 1996. Rookie goaltender Andrew Vigne recorded 20 saves for Guilford.

In the see-saw game, Greensboro's Andrew Carey scored on off-balance shot to tie the game, 6-6, just 35 seconds earlier. Ian Montgomery assisted on the play.

Guilford opened the game with the first three goals and led 3-1 at the end of the first period. The game was tied 3-3 at halftime.

The Pride took its first lead of the game in the third quarter when Montgomery tallied an unassisted goal 11:45 remaining in the period. Guilford' rookie Todd Bochenek scored with 6:10 remaining in the quarter and the game was knotted at 4-4 entering the final 15 minutes.

The Pride out-shot the Quakers 47-29. GC's Corey Reina collected 10 saves.
