Box Score McLean, VA (3/5/05) -- Junior midfielder Bryan Borchard tallied two goals and an assist in the final 3:38 to give Guilford a 13-11 win over Marymount at Lewinsville Park. The visiting Quakers scored the game's final four goals.
Borchard's second score of the game gave the Quakers (2-1) an 8-3 lead 4:27 into the second half. The Saints (0-4) rallied with a 7-1 run that featured two goals apiece by P.J. Keshavarz, D.J. Tayman and Nick Hoefer. Tayman's unassisted tally with 5:17 left remaining gave the hosts an 11-9 edge.
Borchard started the comeback off an assist from rookie Todd Bochenek with 3:38 left. Senior Matt Wagner netted his fourth goal of the game 1:05 later and Bochenek tallied the game-winner off a Todd Bochenek feed with 1:41 remaining. Borchard finished off the scoring with an unassisted goal with 42 seconds left in the game.
Borchard and Wagner each scored four times for Guilford. Bochenek finished with a goal and three assists. Freshman Andrew Vigne made 15 saves in goal for Guilford.
Hoefer led Marymount with three goals and two assists. Tayman and Keshavarz both contributed two goals and an assist. Freshman Alex Hammer made 16 saves for the Saints.
The Quakers return to action next Sunday (3/13) against Wooster at 1:00 p.m. Marymount visits Greensboro Wednesday (3/9) at 1:00
