Lynchburg, VA (04/14/04) -- Senior attack Brandon Childs (Baltimore, MD/St. Paul's) scored three goals and added four assists as Lynchburg's men's lacrosse team defeated visiting Guilford, 22-5, Wednesday in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) game.

The Hornets scored the game's first six goals and never looked back.  Junior Billy McCulloch (Annandale, VA/W.T. Woodson) scored three times and posted two assists, while Kevin Reinecke (Crofton, MD/Arundel) and Adam Gift (Centreville, VA/Westfield) each scored three times.  Max McCool (Vienna, VA/Madison) scored twice, while Ryan Quick (Charlottesville, VA/Albemarle), Brian Kemper (Bel Air, MD/Bel Air) and Robert Wittstadt (Westminster, MD/Mt. St. Joe) had a goal and an assist apiece.

Josh Miller (Princeton, NJ/Princeton) tallied two goals and an assist for the Quakers (5-7, 0-4 ODAC), while junior goalie Aaron Skiles (Weirton, WV/Shattuck-St. Mary's (MN)) made 21 stops in net.  The Hornets outshot their opponents 55-24.

Lynchburg(7-4, 2-2 ODAC) travels to eighth-ranked Hampden-Sydney Saturday for another ODAC contest at 1 p.m.  Guilford visits league-rival Roanoke Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
