Sophomore attack Kevin Reinecke (Crofton, MD/Arundel) scored five times and added two assists as Lynchburg's men's lacrosse team breezed to a 21-7 win Saturday over visiting Guilford in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) play.
The Hornets, ranked 14th in this week's United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Division III Poll, opened a 4-1 lead after the first period and led 11-2 at halftime.
Freshman attack Billy McCulloch (Annandale, VA/W.T. Woodson) netted four goals, while Kip Campbell (Fork Union, VA/FUMA) and Paul Venturella (Millersville, MD/Old Mill) each scored three times. Brandon Childs (Baltimore, MD/St. Paul's) had two goals and three assists and Chase Gompers (Crofton, MD/Arundel) and Jeff Mullenix (Riva, MD/South River) each had three assists.
Sophomore attack Josh Miller (Princeton, NJ/Princeton) had four scores and an assist for Guilford (4-6, 0-4 ODAC). Freshman attackman Reed Bradt (Wolfeboro, NH/Kingswood) had two tallies.
The Quakers visit Roanoke Wednesday (04/10) at 4:00 p.m. in an ODAC contest while Lynchburg (9-2, 2-1 ODAC) visits Virginia Wesleyan next Saturday (04/13) at 1:00 p.m.
