Box Score Greensboro, NC (12/02/02) - Jennifer King's 15 points paced a balanced Guilford attack as the Quakers held off Greensboro, 67-63, Monday night in the Greensboro Coliseum. The win marked Guilford's (1-3) fourth straight over the Pride (1-2) and increased it's lead in the season series to 22-9.
Greensboro freshman Christina Daniels scored 15 of her game-high 19 points in the second half and rallied the Pride from a pair of 10-point deficits early in the second half. She triggered a 13-5 Greensboro run midway through the second half that was capped by Amanda Currie's basket with 8:32 left that tied the game at 49-49.
Jackie Hardenbergh's bucket with 7:40 left boosted Guilford's edge to 54-49, but Daniels sandwiched a King jumper around two three-pointers to keep Greensboro within 56-55 with 6:55 left.
Jennie Keichline drained a three-pointer with 33 seconds for a 64-61 Guilford lead. Ali Thompson missed two free throws with 30 seconds left, but Greensboro corralled the rebound and April Hall scored with 11 seconds remaining for a 65-63 Guilford lead.
Nicole McCrory iced the win with two free throws on the Quakers' ensuing possession, which gave her a career-high 12 points. Keichline finished with 13 points while Aftan Medlin and A.J. Robertson netted 10 points apiece. Hardenbergh had eight of her team-high nine boards in the second half.
Hall registered a double-double with 16 points and a game-high 13 boards. Sally Rice added 12 points and nine boards off the bench before fouling out late in the second half.
