GREENSBORO, N.C. –
Sadie Cyr (Hadley, Mass.) has etched her name into the record books as the first-ever All-American in Guilford College triathlon history. The standout first-year was named a Women's Collegiate Triathlon Division III All-American Honorable Mention and a Division III Scholar All-American by USA Triathlon, as announced by the organization following the conclusion of the 2025 season.
To earn Scholar All-American status, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher while competing at the national level. Cyr's recognition follows a historic debut campaign defined by both academic excellence and an elite physical workload across the swim, bike, and run.
Cyr's postseason was highlighted by a strong showing at NCAA Nationals in Tempe, Arizona, where she secured her All-American status with a 21st-place finish in Division III (150th overall), crossing the line in 1:22:23.3. She punched her ticket to the national stage after a dominant performance at the NCAA East Regional, finishing ninth in the division and 93rd overall with a time of 1:24:03.7.
As the program's inaugural All-American recipient, Cyr sets a high standard for the burgeoning Quakers triathlon team, proving to be a force both on the course and in the classroom.
