GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Guilford College triathlon team is gearing up for season number seven and set their 2026 slate of competition, as announced on Thursday morning.

Highlighted by a Sadie Cyr (Hadley, Mass.) exploding onto the scene in her first season in the Gate City, the Quakers finished well-decorated last fall, with Cyr particularly standing out by earning All-American Honorable Mention honors following a solo berth to the National Championship race last November.

"We are looking forward to the 2026 season," Head Coach Ranicha Sargeant '22 said. "The goal is to raise the bar while striving for excellence."

The 2026 slate will open on Sunday, September 13 as the Quakers head over to Davidson, N.C. to compete at the Lake Davidson Sprint Triathlon, hosted by USA Triathlon.

GC then stays local on Saturday, October 3, heading down the road to Lake Brandt here in Greensboro, N.C. for the Nat Greene Revenge Triathlon Sprint, an event that Cyr won last fall, finishing as the top collegiate female competitor at the event.

It is a quick build-up to NCAA competition for Guilford, as two weeks later it will be the NCAA East Regional Championship, hosted this year at Lake Lanier in Buford, Ga. on Saturday, October 17.

If the Quakers earn a berth, either individually or collectively, the NCAA National Championship race wraps up the fall campaign, this year taking place on Sunday, November 8 in Tempe, Ariz. and hosted by Arizona State University.
