FOREST, Va. – The Guilford College athletics department saw six student-athletes, recognized by the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) on the 2025 ODAC Fall Sportsmanship Teams, as announced by the conference offices on Wednesday afternoon.
The Quakers selected were
Piper Campbell (Wilmington, N.C.) for women's cross country,
Jaykob Garbia (Copenhagen, Denmark) of men's soccer,
Madison Forest (Fuquay-Varina, N.C.) from women's soccer,
Victoria Harper (Greensboro, N.C.) for women's soccer,
Rod Hedrick (Thomasville, N.C.) representing football, and
Trent Torian (Durham, N.C.) from men's cross country. Selected by the coaching staffs, these student-athletes that compete in the conference-sponsored sports, were chosen to have best represented the Quakers and the ODAC as a whole for their dedication to fair play and good sportsmanship during competition this fall.
"Sportsmanship and respect are fundamental to the ODAC's mission," ODAC Commissioner Brad Bankston stated in the conference release. "These student-athletes have been recognized for their commitment to fair play and respect for their opponents—qualities that deserve greater recognition. I thank these honorees for setting an outstanding example for all of us."
This is the third year in which the ODAC has selected an All-Sportsmanship team. A pair of Quakers become multi-time honorees as Campbell is the women's cross country representative for the second-straight season while Torian gets it for the third time, twice for cross country and once as a member of the indoor track & field team following the 2023-24 athletic year.
