FOREST, Va. – The Guilford College athletics department saw 196 student-athletes recognized by the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) on the 2025-26 ODAC All-Academic Team, as announced by the conference offices on Friday morning.
Â
Eligibility for the ODAC All-Academic Team is open to any student-athlete that competes in any of the 25 conference-sponsored sports, 20 of which GC competes in, and they are eligible regardless of academic class. A student-athlete must achieve at minimum a 3.25 grade point average for the academic year to be eligible for ODAC All-Academic Team recognition.
Â
The Guilford football squad led all rosters once again, with 39 student-athletes receiving recognition. The runner-up spot in the team ranks also held firm with baseball seeing 27 players eligible, but there was a shakeup after that. Finishing as the most-decorated women's sport, Guilford Softball vaulted into the top academic squads on campus in terms of total honorees, finishing with 24. Wrapping up the top-five were the Quakers of the pitch as women's soccer surpassed the men's soccer squad with 19 athletes earning distinction against 17 for the men.
Â
Conference-wide, 3,308 student-athletes earned recognition, short of the record total honorees figure from 2024-25. Of the 19 affiliated schools in the ODAC, 10 of them set a new high-water mark for number of honorees with this being the third-straight year the league cracked 3,000 cumulative selections. Guilford finished seventh in the conference for total honorees as Washington & Lee University led the pack with 549 recipients followed by Shenandoah University with 366 and the University of Lynchburg with 356.
