GREENSBORO, N.C. – Natalie Moore (Talbott, Tenn.) was named to the Collegiate Sports Communicators (CSC) Women's Cross Country/Track & Field Academic All-District team for the Guilford College track & field program, as announced by the organization on Tuesday afternoon.
In order to qualify for the honor in track & field, student-athletes must be at least an academic and athletic sophomore, maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher in the classroom. Meanwhile in competition, an athlete must rank within the top-50 in the region based on TFRRS performance rankings in any individual event in indoor or outdoor track & field or cross country at the time of nomination. No more than five student-athletes may be nominated per school.
Moore meets the athletic criteria in a trio of events from each of the indoor and outdoor seasons for the Quakers, ranking within the top-50 in the NCAA Division-III South Region in the indoor events of the 60m Hurdles, High Jump, and Long Jump, plus the outdoor events of the 100m Hurdles, High Jump, and Long Jump. The program-record holder in all of these events, from her results across the past two years, Moore's top regional rank is in the indoor High Jump where her 1.52m mark from the Liberty Open ranks 18
th. Also in indoor competition, her 4.88m leap in the High Jump and 10.22 time in the 60m Hurdles at the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Indoor Track & Field Championships slot in tied for 38
th and 42
nd respectively, with the 60m Hurdles time being the best in program history. Moore's highest outdoor rank is tied for 24
th with a program-best 1.53m leap in the High Jump at the ODAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships, where she also posted a 5.10m mark in the Long Jump to rank tied for 31
st in the event. Her program-record time of 16.82 in the 100m Hurdles at the Aggie Classic also slots in at 34
th in the region. In the classroom, Moore owns a 3.80 GPA in the Guilford College Biology program.
