The Guilford College baseball team returns to the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Tournament as the seventh-seed.
For the first-time since 2018, the Quakers earned a berth into postseason play. Currently, the team is 20-17-1 which is the best record since that 2018 squad that finished 20-20-1 overall with a conference record of 8-12.
Guilford is led by freshman, third baseman,
Rylan Smith with an average of .432. Senior,
Isaiah Hairston has also corralled an average of .424 with 67 hits, 12 home runs, 54 RBI and 51 runs.
On the mound,
Jackson Marcellus has been the number-one with a record of 7-3 with 59 innings pitched and 41 strikeouts.
Jacob Phillips leads the team with a 4.97 era while totaling two wins, a save and 20 strikeouts.
The Quakers will face second-seeded and defending ODAC champs, Shenandoah University in a Best-of-3 series with game one on Saturday, May 6 at 1:00 p.m.
