Guilford Remains Perfect After Win at N.C. Wesleyan

Box Score

ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. -- The Guilford College women's soccer team remains undefeated on the season, taking down North Carolina Wesleyan 3-1 on Wednesday afternoon to move to 3-0 on the season.

Crystal Rivas continues to be an offense force to be reckoned with, posting her third and fourth goals of the season.

The Charlotte, N.C. native's first goal of the contest game just over two minutes in, assisted by McKaley Boston. Her second tally of the game was just a mere 10 minutes later, this time helped along by Kayla Gumula

The hosting Battling Bishops were finally able to make the scoreboard at 29:01.

Guilford's last score of the game came off the boot of Sarah Hall at 52:22. Hall's goal was unassisted.

Captain Ady Franken stood tall in goal, stopping four-of-five shots on goal.

Despite the season being young, Rivas owns a team-leading nine points on four goals and one assist. Two of the junior's goals have proven to be game winners.

The Quakers will play on the pitch at Armfield Athletic Center for the first time this season on Saturday as they host Meredith for an 11 a.m. meeting.
