HOW IT HAPPENED

The visitors proved to be offensively strong from the get-go, forcing the Quakers to spend a majority of its time in their defensive zone.

Guilford was able to keep Lymchburg at bay for a majority of the first half, but faltered with 15:50 remaining. It was Amanda Wigboldy who scored for the Hornets, capitalizing on a free-kick.

Lynchburg's second goal came in the 61st minute off a long shot that took an ugly bounce and flew into the back of the goal.

Katie Kaznowski owned Guilford's lone shot on-goal, one in which she sent on target from over 10 yards out.

Sophomore Ady Franken was stout in goal, making 10 saves in 90 minutes played.
