HOW IT HAPPENED

The first half of play was scoreless, thanks to the help of both squad's defenses.

Guilford's James Privette had a perfectly executed slide job in the 16th minute to slow down the Yellow Jackets' offense. Privette's play gave up a corner kick, but denied the visitors a score.

Also strong for GC in the half was Roman Robinson with a big save in the 15th minute.

For Randolph-Macon, goalie Adam Braithwaite stepped up to make a huge save at 37:42, as an Adrian Pineda shot deflected off a defender and onto goal.

The visitors were able to make it onto the scoresheet twice to kickoff the second half. Their first tally came at 52:29 on a header that redirected a corner kick.

Randolph-Macon's second goal came just two minutes later as it was able to send in a nice shot taken in the air.

The Yellow Jackets' found the back of the goal again at 73:09 as they were able to send a blocked shot off a corner past the Quakers' keeper.

Earning the start for Guilford, keeper Roman Robinson made 11 saves in his 79:08 played.

Coming in as relief, Pierce Whitlock had one save in his 10:52 in goal.

Riley Copeland led his team's offensive efforts, putting up two shots on-goal.
