LYNCHBURG, VA. -- The Guilford College women's soccer team took down Randolph College 3-2 on Wednesday night to move into a tie for seventh in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference. 

THE BASICS

• Score: Guilford 3, Randolph 2

• Records: Guilford 10-5-1 (4-4-1 ODAC) Randolph 6-10-0 (3-6-0 ODAC), 

• Location: Wildcat Stadium -Lynchburg, VA. 

HOW IT HAPPENED 

• It took just over six minutes for the Quakers to show they meant business as Katie Kaznowski was able to beat the Wildcat keeper.

• Guilford extended its lead to two scores as Crystal Rivas was able to find Sarah Hall at 11:42.

• Randolph was able to cap off a busy first half with its goal at 28:26 to bring itself within one.

• The hosts were able to find the back of the goal at 53:36 to knot the game at 2-2.

• GC was able to come away with the win, thanks in big part to Randolph, as it was a Wildcat own-goal that put it up 3-2 with 14 minutes remaining in the contest. 

• Quaker keeper Ady Franken made two saves in the closing minutes to ensure the victory.

QUAKERS' TOP PERFORMERS

• With her game opening goal, Katie Kaznowski now has two tallies on the season. 

• Sarah Hall's goal at 11:42 marks her third of the year.

• Extending her lead in the points column, Crystal Rivas now has 22 after the evening's assist.

• Backstopping Guilford's efforts, Ady Franken tallied 11 saves. 

NEXT GAME

Guilford will close out its regular season with its Senior Day matchup with Sweet Briar, set to kickoff at 1 p.m. on Saturday. If GC is victorious, it will secure a place in the ODAC Tournament.
