CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Guilford College men's and women's cross country teams participated in the JWU Wildcat XC Classic on Friday evening. 

THE BASICS

• Race: JWU Wildcat XC Classic

• Location: McAlpine Park - Charlotte, N.C.

HOW IT WENT

• Freshman Josephine Hemmer was the lone women's representative for Guilford. Hemmer placed 30th (of 45), with a time of 25:24.1, averaging 5:04.8 per km. 

• Leading the men was classmate Nate Warden with his 24th (of 52) place finish. Warden posted a time of 30:56.0, while averaging a 6:13.4 mile. 

• Rounding out the Quaker squad was Will Nowatka with his 36th place finish, as he posted a time of 35:23.5. Nowatka averaged a 7:07 mile time. 

NEXT RACE

The Quakers will travel to Bridgewater, Va. next Saturday, Oct. 30 for the ODAC Cross Country Championships. Racing is scheduled for 11 a.m.
