Box Score GREENSBORO, N.C. - Randolph-Macon College's Seth Manis scored a goal and two assists in the Yellow Jackets' 4-0 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) men's soccer win at Guilford College Saturday night.
With precise passing and good energy across the field, the Yellow Jackets (7-5, 3-0 ODAC) remained unbeaten in league play thanks to four first-half tallies.
Manis notched his first points on a touch feed to Logan McHugh in the ninth minute. Manis would put the ball in the net on his own accord in the 32nd minute for Randolph-Macon's third goal.
The Yellow Jackets took advantage of two set-piece opportunities during the first half, including a Tyler Slayton goal off of a free kick in the 27th minute. Diego Tacaraya launched the ball into the box for Manis, who quickly crossed to Slayton for the tally. Anthony Polakiewicz converted on a Randolph-Macon corner kick when McHugh delivered a ball to the far end of the six-yard box where an unmarked Polakiewicz finished.
Randolph-Macon narrowly outshot the Quakers, 14-11. Guilford had nine of the match's 11 corners.
Eric Hayes made six saves in net for the Quakers. Brian Breslin made one stop for Randolph-Macon before being relieved by C.J. Chambers late in the second half.
The Quakers (5-6, 2-3 ODAC) look to rebound Tuesday (Oct. 13) when they host Roanoke College in a 7 p.m. ODAC contest.
