ASHLAND, Va. - Rob Sandidge scored in the 34th minute of Guilford College's 1-0 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) soccer victory at Randolph-Macon College Friday. The victory marked Guilford's (3-5, 2-0 ODAC) third straight and the 100th career coaching win for Quakers' mentor Jeff Bateson.

Guilford held a 10-9 edge in shots, but put more of its shots on goal as Yellow Jackets' keeper Michael Bly made seven saves. Quakers' goalie Marko Mandalinic made just one stop, in the game's ninth minute, for his first shutout of the year.

Sandidge tallied for the third straight game, which raises his team-leading goal total to four.

Bateson is in his ninth Guilford season and his 15th overall. He is 10 wins shy of Liam Behrens for most career coaching victories by a Quakers' head men's soccer coach.

Guilford returns home Wednesday (9/24) to open a three-game home stand versus league-rival Hampden-Sydney College at 7:00 p.m.
