Box Score GREENSBORO, N.C.---Lynchburg College's Dessi Dupuy and Morgan Singer both tallied three goals, helping the unbeaten Hornets to an 8-0 Wednesday evening Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) soccer victory. Lynchburg is ranked fourth in the latest National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Division III Top 25 Poll.
Lynchburg scored four goals in a span of 10:11 to claim an early lead. Dupuy scored the final two goals in the run. She assisted on the game's first goal, sending a pass from the top of the box to Angela Bosco. Bosco earned her first of two assists on the night on Dupuy's second goal.
Bosco fed Dupuy again in the 51st minute through defenders for Dupuy's second goal and Bosco's second assist. Singer netted her final goal in the 58th minute off of a turnover just outside the 18-yard box.
Lynchburg outshot the Quakers, 25-2, and held the edge in corner kicks, 7-0.
Caitlyn Young made seven saves in net for the Quakers. Tess Frelick earned the shutout in 90 minutes of minding the net for Lynchburg.
The Quakers return to action Saturday, traveling to Eastern Mennonite University for a 4:30 p.m. ODAC contest.
