WINCHESTER, Va. – Brittany Mason scored off a Anna Wilson corner kick in the 11th minute to give Shenandoah University a 1-0 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) soccer win over visiting Guilford College Saturday.

The Hornets (8-5-1, 6-1-1 ODAC) controlled play for much of the match and enjoyed a 22-1 edge in shots. Shenandoah took all of the game's 12 corner kicks.

Hornets' goalie Erin Septer stopped Madalyn Carpenter's first-half shot and shared the shutout with teammate Nicole Pratt. Senior Abby Gove made six saves in goal for the Quakers (1-14, 1-7 ODAC).

Coach Michael Shenigo's club returns to action Wednesday (10/16) versus visiting league-rival Washington and Lee University at 4:00 p.m.
