Randolph Halts Guilford Win Streak at Five Game

Box Score

LYNCHBURG, Va. (9/25/10) -- Corey Sindle scored twice in the opening 26 minutes in Randolph College's 3-1 Old Dominion Athletic Conference win over Guilford College. Will Wolf tallied his first goal of the season between Sindle's scores.

The Wildcats (5-5, 2-1 ODAC) snapped the Quakers' (5-3, 1-1 ODAC) five-match winning streak that marked the program's longest since 1986.

Freddy Gomez got Guilford on the board in the second half with his team-leading fifth goal of the year. The Quakers held a 10-9 edge in shots, but Randolph keeper Aaron Humphreys made three saves to preserve the win. Guilford's Marko Mandalinic made three stops in the second half.

The Quakers visit Ferrum College Sunday (9-26) for the last of a six-game road swing.
