SALEM, Va. (10/20/10) -- Carmen Graves' header 7:54 into the match gave Roanoke College a 1-0 women's soccer win over visiting Guilford College Wednesday. The Maroons (11-3-3, 8-0-2 ODAC) remained unbeaten in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) play an improved to 9-0-2 in their last 11 outings.  

The Quakers drop to 6-9-2 (3-5-2 ODAC) with their fourth loss in five matches.  

Roanoke controlled play for most of the match and held a 14-4 edge in shots. Guilford's Amy Baker played the first half in goal and was relieved by Kat Adams in the second half. Adams made seven of the team's eight saves. Lindsay Kooiman made two stops for Roanoke's 10th shutout of the season.  

Guilford concludes regular-season play Saturday (10/23) at league-rival Eastern Mennonite University at 7:00 p.m.
