GREENSBORO, N.C. (10/16/10) -- Brittney Harris and Melanie Waters scored first-half goals in visiting Bridgewater College's 2-0 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) soccer win at Guilford College Saturday night. The Eagles (7-6-1, 6-2 ODAC) extended their winning streak to six.

The visitors struck in the 14th minute when Harris headed in Abby Dehoff's long cross from the flank after a give-and-go to Dehoff off a short corner kick.

Bridgewater doubled its lead with less than 10 minutes left in the half. Waters intercepted a pass and strolled unmarked into the penalty area where she beat the Quakers' Kat Adams for her team-leading eighth goal of the year.

Both teams finished with nine shots. Bridgewater goalie Cari Hensley made four stops for the shutout. Adams and Amy Baker split the game in goal for the Quakers (6-8-2, 3-4-2 ODAC) and combined on five saves.

The contest marked Guilford's Senior Night as defender Emma Blaylock, midfielder Brittany Freyer and midfielder Ellie Taylor were honored prior to kickoff. The Quakers return to action Wednesday (10/18) at Roanoke College.
