Box Score ROANOKE, Va. (10/13/10) -- Danielle Fiori scored a goal and an assist in visiting Guilford College's 2-0 Old Dominion Athletic Conference soccer victory at Hollins University Wednesday. Fiori broke a scoreless draw with her 49th-minute tally and set up teammate Sarah Levitt's insurance goal in the 75th minute.
The victory snapped the Quakers' (6-7-2, 3-3-2 ODAC) two-game losing skid and improved their all-time record against Hollins (5-9, 1-7 ODAC) to 24-0.
Guilford outshot Hollins, 12-7, in the first half, but could not get a ball past Hollins keeper Kristen Norkus, who made five of her game-high 11 saves in the opening period. Fiori finally got the Quakers on the board 3:22 into the second half off an assist by Emma Blaylock. Fiori earned her first assist of the season when she set up Levitt's team-leading seventh goal of the season.
The Quakers' Kat Adams and Amy Baker both played a half and shared the shutout. Adams made four of the team's six saves in the first half.
Guilford hosts Bridgewater College Saturday (10/16) at 6:00 p.m.
