Murfreesboro, N.C. (9/5/07) -- Guilford College junior Joe Rigert set the school record with nine points on four goals and an assist in the Quakers' 5-1 men's soccer win over NCAA Division II Chowan University (1-4) Wednesday. Rigert, a forward, broke the record shared by Roberto Sa (1982) and Chris Jenkins (1985), who scored eight points on four goals. Rigert joins them as the school record holders with four goals in a match.

Scott Meguid had two assists and Bryce Hunsucker scored Guilford's fifth goal.

Guilford plays in the ESPIRIT/DIII Tournament in Raleigh this weekend against Salisbury (9/8) and Emory (9/9).
