Greensboro, N.C. (4/18/07) -- Visiting Lynchburg College tuned up for the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Tournament with a sweep of Guilford College Wednesday afternoon in a league twinbill rescheduled from April 15.

The Hornets (29-10, 14-4 ODAC) scored five times in the first inning en route to a 9-0, five-inning win in the opener. Tara Campbell hit a two-run homer in the inning, as the Hornets took advantage of two Guilford errors in the inning. Ali Manns yielded only a Zenovia Hogue single in the second inning. Morgan Austin belted a three-run homer in the sixth.

Lynchburg scored seven runs in the first inning of the nightcap to complete the sweep. Two Guilford errors contributed to the inning, which saw the first six Hornets reach base. Lauren Duguay hit the first of her two doubles in the inning and later scored by stealing home.

Guilford scored its runs courtesy of two Lynchburg errors in the second inning and Kelly Hale's team-leading sixth home run of the season, a fifth-inning shot.
