Bridgewater, Va. (10/18/06) -- Host Bridgewater scored three second-half goals en route to a 4-1 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) men's soccer win over Guilford Wednesday afternoon at Jopson Field. Austin Stemper and Ben Ostrander both tallied twice for the Eagles, who improved to 7-8-1 (3-4 ODAC).

Stemper gave the hosts an early lead with a goal in the 12th minute off the first of two Chris Thomas assists, but Guilford's Scott Meguid tied the match just over 10 minutes later with his team-leading eighth goal of the season.

The score remained tied at halftime, but Ostrander struck twice in under a four-minute span midway through the second half to give the Eagles an insurmountable 3-1 advantage. Stemper finished the scoring with an unassisted goal in the 78th minute.

Mitch Hamersley made four of Bridgewater's five goalie saves in 81 minutes between the pipes. Guilford's Zane Campbell made six stops in a losing cause.

The Quakers (3-10-1, 0-6 ODAC) conclude their five-match road swing tomorrow (10/19) with a 2:00 match against Roanoke. The contest was originally scheduled for Sept. 28, but postponed due to rain.
