Harrisonburg, Va. (10/14/06) -- Fredi Bautista's goal 9:05 into overtime lifted host Eastern Mennonite to a 1-0 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) men's soccer win over visiting Guilford Saturday night at EMU's Turf Field. The winning tally delighted the 712 Royals' fans on hand during the Eastern Mennonite's Homecoming Weekend.

Bautista's goal, his team-leading fifth of the season, was assisted by Benjamin Yoder.

The Quakers (3-9-1, 0-5 ODAC) suffered their fifth one-goal loss of the season and second in a row. Guilford played the final 39 minutes of the match without junior Mike McCaffery, who picked up a red card at the 60:59 mark. Guilford goaltender Zane Campbell made six stops in goal. His counterpart, Jackson Maust, notched his third shutout of the season with nine saves.

Guilford returns to action Oct. 18 at Bridgewater.
