Lynchburg, VA (10/23/05) -- Jennah Carter scored her third hat trick of the season and added an assist in Guilford's 8-1 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) women's soccer win at Randolph-Macon Woman's College Sunday afternoon. The victory extended Guilford's (11-5-2, 7-4 ODAC) winning streak to four matches, matching their longest of the season.

Jessica Maidment got the host Wildcats (3-12-1, 2-7-1 ODAC) on the board 3:18 into the match before Carter knotted the match just over three minutes later. She netted her team-leading fifth game-winning goal of the season 3:26 later to give Guilford a 2-1 lead.  Carter has a team-high 20 goals, two shy of Guilford's school record shared by Kimberly Mullen '05 and Amy Evans '02. Her 45 points this season also stand third on the Quakers' all-time list.

Heather Ruggiero scored two goals and an assist for Guilford, who outshot Randolph-Macon Woman's College, 29-6.

Guilford closes its regular-season Tuesday (10/25) against visiting Southern Virginia in a contest rescheduled from earlier this season.
