GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Guilford College women's soccer team enters the second year of the
Dakota Rock era eying a return to the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Tournament as the program announced their 2026 season schedule on Wednesday morning.
The 2025 season, the first under the guidance of Coach Rock, was far from unsuccessful. Posting their fifth-consecutive winning season at 9-7-2 while reconfiguring the record books at both the single-match and season level, the Quakers completed one of the best defensive campaigns in program history on their way to a robust plus-14 scoring differential that ranked in the league's top-eight despite finishing on the outside looking in come tournament time.
"Looking at the 2026 schedule, it is difficult not to be excited about the season to begin," Head Coach Dakota Rock said. "The non-conference slate is one that provides tough challenges, between top opponents and testing ourselves on the road early in the year, that will inevitably prepare us for the ODAC, which we already know is one of the toughest in the country."
Guilford will partake in a tandem of tune-up matches, opening on the road for a friendly against Pfeiffer University before hosting Southern Virginia University for a preseason scrimmage on Saturday, August 29.
GC opens the regular season with a quartet of contests away from the Armfield Athletic Center, highlighted by their 2026 opener set for Friday, September 4 against Meredith College in Raleigh. They then conclude that stretch with a venture into the mountains to battle the reigning USA South Champions at Brevard College on Saturday, September 12.
The Quakers home-opener will be a big one on Wednesday, September 16 as they play host to Greensboro College for a rivalry clash starting at 6:00 PM. They follow that up by remaining at the friendly confines for a Sunday morning encounter with Johnson & Wales University- Charlotte on September 20.
Like their season at-large, the Quakers open league play with consecutive clashes on the road, as they head up to Lexington, Va. to duke it out with the back-to-back reigning ODAC champions, Washington & Lee University, on Wednesday, September 23 before returning to northern Virginia to play Eastern Mennonite University on Saturday, September 26.
The initial home ODAC clash will serve as a prelude to Homecoming Weekend on Wednesday, September 30 against Roanoke College, kicking off at 6:00 PM.
Conference competition proceeds throughout the entirety of October with GC matching up with a bevy of 2026 ODAC Tournament competitors, among them league final four squads, Bridgewater College and Shenandoah University at Appenzeller Field on Saturday, October 10 and Saturday, October 24 respectively.
Concluding the regular season, the Quakers host Sweet Briar College on the evening of Wednesday, October 28 on a night when they will celebrate their veteran contributors with their Senior Night, kicking off at 7:00 PM.
The ODAC Tournament will open on Saturday, October 31 if Guilford were to make the field, with subsequent rounds played on Wednesday, November 4 then the finals on Saturday, November 7.
