GREENSBORO, N.C. – Luke Wise (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.) represented the Guilford College golf team as an honoree on the Collegiate Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team, as announced by the organization on Tuesday.
Golf is a sport that falls under the CSC's at-large program for Academic All-District recognition. In order to qualify for the honor in golf, student-athletes must be at least an academic and athletic sophomore, maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher in the classroom. Meanwhile, they must compete in 70 percent of the team's total varsity events that were team scoring events or be a part of the team's lineup at their conference championship. No more than six student-athletes may be an at-large nominee per school per gender.
A day-one impact member of the Quaker golf team, Wise rose to the occasion as one of GC's two returners from the 2025 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Championship lineup, factoring into the team's scoring in all-but-one of Guilford's 10 "A-team" events. He topped Quaker scorers twice, when playing in his own backyard of the Sunshine State, finishing tied for ninth overall with a -2 score at the Division-III Fall Preview back in September before pacing GC again at the Mission Inn Resort and Club for at the National Championship, taking a tie for 48
th. On the season, Wise stood in the middle-of-the-pack of the Guilford lineup, posting an average round score of 76.17, the third-best on the team. Playing 29 rounds across 10 events, he averaged a +4 score and had a pair of top-10 finishes on his ledger, the aforementioned D-III Fall Preview in addition to the ODAC Championship, where he tied for eighth. Off the course, Wise studies Business Administration at Guilford owning a GPA of 3.53.
